ZIPLINE..

We recently took a vacation to Gatlinburg and the guys decided they wanted to zipline!:/ Austin has no fear of heights. I asked him was he even a little scared before he went from Mountain top to Mountain top and he said not at all. I would've been shaking.
The scary part was when the doors flew open to the cabin while they were there and a storm came. They were able to get off and didn't finish the last two, but had fun on the experience.

I'm normally not one to make resolutions or if I do I don't show them to everyone. I think this will hold me accountable and it will be a reminder when I post stuff on here. So here it goes:

1. The most important one of all: I want to spend more time in the Bible. Not only for me, but my children.
2. I want to feel good about me and for that to happen some weight needs to be shed. It's sooo hard to lose and soo easy to gain it back:(
3. There is so much I could be doing in the community and with my church. Now that I'll have more free time I plan on doing some things to help.
4. Finish the next Bible Study with some of the MOST WONDERFUL ladies ever. I know God put me in there and I've had my doubts on whether to do this one or not(mainly because of the drive), but I'm doing it and am SO LOOKING FORWARD TO IT!:)
5. To stop worrying so much! Most of the time it is no need to worry, but I do://. I know it is a sin, and 2012 I hope I can do better.

Tonight we celebrated in the kids room at church Happy Birthday Jesus. Our childrens minister did fun games where he would draw a number and the kid with that no would play the game and pick a prize. They could then give it away or keep it. In the end he was trying to teach them an important lesson about giving.

I'm so thankful for a church that cares about our children. After the new year I want to make even more of an effort to work really hard with my children on teaching them more at home. I know Chad and I can do even better.:)

I'm so thankful for wonderful family and friends. I would MUCH rather give to friends and family in anyway I can, than to receive. I get so much more out of it.(it makes me happy) I hope each one of your families that are reading this have a VERY MERRY CHRISTMAS!

Austin's football team was in the Homecoming Parade and of course I had to take a few pics for memories and I'm eventually gone to get this blog printed in a book so I can keep.:)

A friend of mine asked me to join in on a bible study on Fridays and I'm SO glad she did. With crazy schedules it's not always been easy to keep up and to go, but I've done it and I feel like the reward has been amazing!!

It's Beth Moores, "A Woman's Heart". I've never been one to open up easy in a group, but I HAVE!! I feel like my life has been twisted and I have been an emotional roller coaster, but being able to open up to these ladies has helped, and I've just started studying in the am before my day gets started and I can't tell you it's made my days so much easier! If you are able to do a study with some ladies I HIGHLY RECOMMEND IT! I know the Lord put me in there for a reason, because these ladies are the kindest, and most caring people.:))

Brooklynn, you are the sweetest, most beautiful little girl! You are just as pretty on the inside as the outside. You love more than anything to play dress up and play school even at home!
You are the most affectionate thing ever, just like your brother, and I'm so glad you both are! It must be bec you both get lots of hugs and kisses from us:)). I enjoy all of my girl time with you. Having girls night outs while the boys are hunting is soo much fun!!
For your bday you got a sweet little yorkie puppy and named it Sophie. Ill post pics soon. We did a small slumber party here with a few friends and had a makeup, hair and nail station. We also did a painting, kind of like easely amused and did a fashion show with a disco light and music and I was the paparazzi...SO MUCH FUN!!

Over a yr ago I asked for prayers for my Mom. She had cancer in her tongue. They were able to remove it all and took out her lipnodes in her neck to be safe. Last Thursday she had a biopsy done. She has gone to see her doc in Birmingham every 3 mts and has good appt's. She had another lesion to come up and we are waiting on results. I have so many friends and family praying, but I know you can never have too many. It's been a rough couple of days waiting. I know God is in control and he will take care of us all, but it's never easy waiting for news like this. My mom is my BEST FRIEND! We tell each other everything and since I got married we rarely miss a Saturday tog...even if it's just Walmart. Some of you don't know her, but seriously she is the sweetest, kindest, most wonderful Mom in the world. Thank you for reading if you made it this far and pls remember our family this wk.

most people think you have to have smoked or drank to have this type of cancer in your tongue and from what I've read it would seem that way. but this is def not the case with her.

We celebrated Austin's 9th Birthday at home this yr! He wanted a swim party and then a few to sleepover, and he also requested that there be no girls, ha! He was nice enough to let Brooklynn have a friend. He is growing like a weed. He is almost in the same size shoe as me..I don't know why but I'm crying typing that.(guess because I know how time flies)

Austin, I hope one day you read this, because you are the sweetest, most affectionate little boy! God made you so special and I'm so glad he gave you to me and your daddy to raise. I love you so much!I love that when I come to your school you still aren't embarrassed hug and tell me you love me in front of all your friends!!

You are an awesome athlete. This is your first yr of playing football, and as much as you love baseball I think you might like football as much! The first game in football you scored two touchdowns and the extra point.

I love that you want to go hunting with your dad every Fri after school during hunting season and you have that special time together. I always miss you both, but I know how much fun you have.

This yr was a big transition for both of my sweeties. Brooklynn went from kindergarten to 1st grade!! Austin went from 2nd to 3rd! I always remember thinking 3rd grade was hard. They are both loving it, but are in separate schools now, but at least Austin was with her last yr. He always watched out for her...I always thought that was so sweet!:)

Sorry for such a lack of posts, but it's been busy! You can tell in the pics there nerves were a little shook up but were very excited to see some of there closest friends in both classes!!

GLOBAL WILDLIFE

Last wk was spent 8-5 Mon thru Thurs at Summer Blast camp at our church. I helped all wk and so this wk is going to be as easy as I can make it, ha! Seriously, I had the BEST time with this camp. Our childrens minister is awesome and I loved watching all the kids excitement each day.
The last day we drove to Louisiana and went to the Global Wildlife. If you've never been you should make a trip. It is the most unbelievable place!!!! All of the animals come right to your wagon and eat out of your cups or hands. Your children definitely need to love animals to love this trip. We are going to take the family and go again when it's a little cooler!

Baby Carter's mom has a blog here. Today they found out that Carter's Dad has Hodgkins Lymphoma. This family needs all of our prayers right now. They are leaving for John Hopkins on Wednesday and will be coming home to get more news for Brandon, Carter's Dad and Maegan's husband.

Please Remember the whole family right now as they are going through such a hard time..God is amazing and has shown miracles through Carter and can do the same for his Daddy. Thanks so much!

This little boy is the cutest thing ever!!! I was taken home a little boy from VBS and saw this cool truck, so we stopped to ask if we could take a few pics..love!

My dad had a old old car in our driveway when I was little and my mom and I couldn't stand it!! He never fixed it up and we finally talked him into taken it to the junkyard. What I would do now to have that fixer upper!!!

I did this for a friend of mine for a ad going in a magazine for a market I think in Dallas. I love the way it turned out. Everybody that knows me knows I LOVE jewelry..costume jewelry lol. I can't imagine why my kids want to always go to Nanny and Dada's house!!:) They have a brand new baby sheep that is the cutest thing I've ever seen!! They have tons of pasture for Austin to shoot at buzzards lol, Nanny always give them her one on one and does WHATEVER they want!! One of their favorite things to do is ride the golfcart in the pasture and pick up golfballs that my Dad has hit from his house!!!

Chad and I are in a parenting class at church and we just started a new study. One important tip they gave us was setting boundaries, such as chores for each child.

When I read audreycaroline.blogspot.com about the www.myjobchart.com that lets you add each child and there own chores and they then earn points!!!!(this is the Angie Smith that does Bible Studies and her husband is in the Christian group Selah...I love reading her blog!

I can't wait to show my children and get started Monday...I'll try to remember to give you an update on the progress.:)

MIRACLE BABY!

Today was a very special day for me...one I've been looking forward to for a long time! Baby Carter is now 7 mts old. He is the one listed below you read about that they are doing the tshirt sale for to help pay for his next big surgery. He was born with a rare defect that causes the organs and intestines to be on the outside of the body, and also a spinal cord defect. He will be going through surgery to fix that sometime after July. He will be in Baltimore for 3 mts. Their family will be staying with him during this time. If you decide you want to still order a shirt please let me know....thanks for everyone that already has. It has been amazing to see all the people that have been touched by Carter. I was touched by him today...

GIRLS NIGHT OUT....

I think it's been almost 3 wks since I posted, but I've been enjoying the time off from Spring Break...now I can't wait for summer! I have a very busy wk with photography, so I decided I better do a quick post while the kids are in bed.

We went to the zoo, and played a LOT during Spring Break. While Austin had a spend the night party we had a girls night with good Friends! IT was so much fun!!

FUNDRAISER FOR BABY CARTER

A sweet couple in our Sunday School class had a baby last August that was born with a condition that causes the intestines to be on the outside of the body. He was also born with a spinal defect. He has already gone through two surgeries and the next one will be a bigger one.

Some ladies in our class got together and did a shirt fundraiser to raise money for expenses. If you feel led to help out I'll be glad to deliver the shirt to you or you can pay the $2 shipping and have shipped to your house.

The girl that designed the shirts also designed our church logo and my logo...she is awesome!!

I think we are the only ones in MS that haven't taken our kids to the rodeo, so we took them Monday night! Josh Turner was the entertainment, and I really like him. He was so sweet to talk about his wife and that he owed his success to the Lord!! All of the rodeo was great. The kids LOVED it..we will be going every year now.

It was Valentines too, so that was even better. A lot of you have wondered how it's been working with hubs on Tuesdays and Thursdays while the kids are in school...I have to say it's really going good!! I have enjoyed being with Chad a little too(normally our conversations are at night when the kids go to bed).:)) Sorry about my little bliggity blog being neglected, not a lotta free time lately, ha!

We had what they call the cheap seats, because it's all they had left, so we were a little too far to get any good pics. I grabbed my camera with the lense that was on there:(

We were so excited when Amanda asked us to paint with them at Easely Amused. I've gone before, but my kids haven't. The instructor stands at the front and starts out with white paint and shows you step by step how to do it...I guess you could say this was more of a mom and daughter class. It was a little harder and she wanted my help...surprisingly, because normally she wants to do it on her own. I'll take pictures soon of some we have done here that she has done completely be herself that I just love!!

I had fun today with these beautiful children!! Sky is a natural...hardly wears a stitch of makeup and looks beautiful! I had to get on stools to photograph her because it seems like she is a ft taller than me, ha. Maybe it's because I'm sooo short.

Keeton was as sweet as he was cute. He seemed like the type that would know how to do jump in the air and do that little high kick thing, and what do you know?! HE DID! I love that pic!

I love all their pics..at the very end I asked Sky could I spray down her hair with her grandmas water bottle and make it wet and kinda scrunch it for a grunge look. I can't wait to show you one of those too. She was game for ANYTHING!

Cheri, your whole family was just a delight to be around...including Michael's girlfriend! I hope to be taking there wedding pictures one day:)

My post might not be as often. I'm going to be working for my hubs on Tues and Thurs while the kids are in school. I'm actually looking forward to it and having to get myself dressed for a change. Normally I stay in my lounge pants most days(all day)! At least two days I will get dressed:)

PRAYING FOR YOU CHERI!

Today I had the honor of photographing Sweet Cheri's family! Let me tell you why it was so special:

Cheri had been going to the doctor for several sinus infections and kept getting sick. She had a scan done and they found she has a rare form of cancer. I believe she was diagnosed on Dec 17th and went to MD Anderson several wks ago and her cancer had quadrupled in size. They are very hopeful that they can shrink it with chemo over a six months time and then try to remove the tumor at that time.

She has the sweetest spirit and the best attitude towards life! I text her while she was at MD Anderson and told her I wanted to do something special for her and she was thrilled!

Cheri you and your family are in my prayers everyday and we love you!!

So, after Jenny's post yesterday and her words of encouragement I restarted myfitnesspal.com. Honestly, it really is the easiest and best thing out there! It doesn't cost a penny and you can download it to your phone...on the hero, go to market and type my fitness pal.

It will record what exercises you do and subtract that from your calories, and honestly it knows every restaurant and every food item! I put it on my phone and when I saw that you could have friends that could hold you accountable I thought this is exactly what I need!!!!! So Jenny thank you sweet friend!

I've put on some lbs and I have got to get them off so I can feel good again...I got up and did my elliptical and jammed to Austins praise music on his ipod. Good thing the neighbors can't hear outside of my house lol!! I was very proud of myself. I wanted to stop sooooo bad after 14 min's on that thing, but I pushed on and did the entire 25 min's of interval training and I can honestly say I FEEL GOOD!!!

I'm going be honest and tell you it has been mighty nice being able to do nothing! I always enjoy a little break! I have had a lot of time to spend with my family and it's been nice. Speaking of, we are headed out the door for a day early celebration of my bday to my favorite restaurant PF Chang's with my Mom and two children(they are out of school today!!)

She is amazing!!!! Her cd is great, but hearing her in person is just awesome. She is inspirational and all of her songs have such meaning...I feel I can relate to so many!!

WALKING IN TO SEE WHAT SANTA LEFT...I JUST LOVE THE LOOKS ON THEIR FACES!

I can't believe it, but I haven't even walked in my computer room since the kids got out of school...I told myself that this vacation was going to be a vacation and we were going to enjoy being lazy and just being together!
Brooklynn did get a mini laptop and I have cked my email twice. At the last minute everybody came here to celebrate on Christmas day and we got RockBand out from last yr and had sooo much fun! We decided it was a new tradition.
We have been super busy...went to my Moms the weekend bef Christmas(got to get pics from her..forgot my camera), celebrated with inlaws on Christmas Eve and here Christmas Day. It has been funfilled...except for my Dad had to have surgery yesterday, but he is doing good! I know nobody but my Mom cares, but Austin's goodies are on the left of the couch and Brooklynn's are on the right!

I hope your Christmas was wonderful too!

Ohhh, and pls somebody remind don't wait to the last minute to shop next yr!!!! I did have to come in here and order pics and overnight them, ha! And I had to get out in the crazy chaos to get last minute gifts...pls pls remind me next yr!

I know I won't see the computer for a couple of days, so I just wanted to tell each of you to have a very Merry Christmas. I found a website that has childrens versions of bible stories and we are waking up and reading the Three Wise Men story to our children after they see what Santa brought them. I want them to always know the true meaning of Christmas! Here are a few pics of my children and my brothers family. Before we ate Thanksgiving dinner I snapped these very quickly. This was my brothers card. On the front of the card they put ...and to think Jesus was born in a place like this. I thought that was so creative.

Wow, I can't believe Im just putting pics up of Disney. I have so many more to show you, but here are a few. The one of Austin with his face painted was from Magic Kingdom at Pirates of Caribbean...that was awesome, awesome! He was the cutest pirate I've ever seen!:)
The ones of Brooklynn and Tiana and Prince Naveen are when we were leaving Magic Kingdom. They asked Brooklynn to be escorted by them leaving...she was beyond thrilled! Tiana kissed her cheek with red lips and brooklynn had a hard time washing it off!
The resort is in the pics too...we stayed at Wildernesss Lodge at Magic Kingdom. We will probably stay there again! It was amazing!!!!

YUMMY CHEESE STRAW RECIPE!

These are so yummy that I had to share this recipe that my husband got for me!

Cheese Straws
1 cup all purpose flour
8 oz sharp cheddar cheese
1 cup rice krispies cereal
1 block softened butter
1 tsp garlic powder
1/2 tsp cayenne pepper
1 tsp salt

Roll into biscuits or like straws and flattened. Put a fork with a tiny bit of water and flatten on top of each one. Bake at 350 for 10-13 minutes. ENJOY!!!

Im so excited to find out about the Personal Santa Video. All you do is click here: http://www.portablenorthpole.tv/home and enter each of your childrens info. Santa will send them a video and he is saying there name and what they asked for. You can even email a pic and it will be in his book when he opens. It's the neatest thing I've ever seen!! My kids sat with there mouths wide open! They are still talking about it!

All of these photos are special in their own way. Nikki's Maw and Paw were just precious. When I was taking a pic of them I captured this sweet moment between the two and he said could we keep taking pics so he could keep kissing her...I hope Chad and I are like that 50 years from now!

The one of Jon with a guitar and Nikki wiping her eyes from behind is my favorite. Jon is an amazing singer. He starting writing a song when he was 12 and when he met Nikki he was able to finish it..everyone there had tears flowing bec it was just too sweet.

The one of Nikki coming out of the door is when Jon saw her for the first time! Can you tell he was excited?!!

The last photo is the party favors for wedding guests to take home. They gave pine trees!!

These were taking right before the Fall Carnival started at the church and I was working the registration table, so I had about two seconds. Brooklynn was Snow White when she was two, so I was glad when she picked it again! Her sweet friend Maggie went with us and they had a ball. Austin really isn't into dressing up a lot anymore(which breaks my heart, cause he is growing up), so he wanted to be Drew Brees...he picked a good one! He seems to be a great role model for our kids!
